The whole Souvignier gang is in town! Maggie's cousins Max and Claire (with dad & mom - Chad & Terese) came into town to visit from AZ. We all got together on Friday night at Grandma and Grandpa's for some pizza and a little catching up!
On Saturday, we all met up again for Maggie's other Souvignier cousin - Jack's Baptism. We were able to get the whole family together afterwards for some burgers and even a couple beers. Mags was keeping the crowd entertained by repeatedly filling her diaper every time she got a fresh one on! Another fun game Mags made up to play with us. She is winning this game too. Good news though - all that pooping must have wore her out - because we were treated to nearly 6 hours of sleep that night! A new Mags record! We'll trade the poopfest for a couple extra hours of sleep any night -keep it up Mags!
On Sunday, Mags did the rounds again. With visits to/from the whole Franke clan, Grandma & Grandpa, and good friends (and neighbors) Paul and Jenelle - who put together a nice BBQ for us (thanks!).
We are working on posting some more pictures linked from picasa. But, we seem to be moving s-l-o-w-l-y....Like I said - still figuring out blogging and parenting...
Can't wait for the upcoming week - Mags first 4th of July!
Nope. Mags isn't walking yet. Actually, no news to report on Mags in this entry. It's all about me. I finally figured out how to get the link to our Picasa web album going. Blogging baby steps. But, we got it up - check it out!
Yup. She has only been in our house for a week and a half and she is laying around like she is queen! She eats when she wants. She sleeps whenever she feels like it. She has us change her outfits multiple times a day. She even has us wiping her butt for her! With all that said - we still love her - and we are PROBABLY gonna keep her - So we might as well introduce her to you....
Margaret Lynn Souvignier arrived June 11, 2008 at 4:47pm. All 7 pounds 12 oz of her. Maggie came to us with a head full of hair and a healthy set of lungs. Maggie's favorite activities include: exercising aforementioned lungs, eating, sleeping, dirtying diapers, sleeping, going for rides in the stroller, eating, going for rides in the car, and dirtying diapers. By far - her favorite game is to pretend that day is night and night is day. She is excels at this game - and has somehow roped us into playing this game with her. Mags is winning.
She had her 1 week check up on Thursday. She weighed in at 8 pounds 2 oz. Doc kicked her tires and looked under the hood and gave her a good bill of health. He told us that her various measurements put her in the 70-80 percentile in various categories. We told her we expect more out of her and always want her to be in the top 10% of everything she does... We'll see if that little pep-talk sparks her growth. Mags is starting to open her eyes more each day - but, tends to squint a little when the lights are too bright. This morning we found that the lighting in the Park Tavern is just right for her! She enjoyed the lighting as well as the ambiance. I also could tell that she was more than pleased with the reasonable priced breakfast. I'd bet she will be asking us to return to the PT with her soon. I'd bet that we will oblige.
Bear with us as we are learning much about parenting....and blogging. It's up in the air as to which we are better at - but, we seem to know enough to get by on both accounts. We will do our best to update with stories and pictures. Mags can't wait to meet you!
