Thankgiving 2010

Can you tell I went back to work?!? I'm just now posting my Thanksgiving picture and Christmas is only a couple of days away! I've been back to work now for about a month, and Ruby seems to be doing well at Daycare. Maggie fills me in on how the day goes the best that she can and Cheryl (her daycare provider) says the girls are doing great!
We had a nice Thanksgiving this year. We stopped by Chris and Jen's for a little bit and then headed out to my aunt Carol's where most of the extended Demulling family was. It was great to see everyone! Mom had another Thanksgiving get-together on Saturday too. Frank and the boys, Margo and Dan, Jack & Lori, Great Aunt Jean, And Great Grandma Demulling all joined us. Trent and Aimee and the kids made it up this year too and Toni and D and the kids were also there. It was fun for all of the cousins to get together!
Quick updates on how the girls are doing:
Maggie is 2 and a half now and talking up a storm. Sometimes when we get home from work/ daycare I will give her a hug and tell her I missed her. Now, every once in a while she will give me a hug and say that all on her own......so sweet! She is very sweet with Ruby too. She likes to run and get Ruby's blanky and cover her up with it, hold her hand, and if Ruby is crying she runs over to her and tries to calm her by bouncing her in her seat or rocking her in her carrier. It's cute to listen to her talk "baby talk" to her. She always needs tell Ruby goodnight and give her a kiss before bed. Maggie is also getting pretty good at the alphabet. She knows all of her capital letters (since August) and is working on her lower-case now. She also is working on grasping her skinny markers so that she can start writing letters. She is out of diapers (since October) YEAH!!
Ruby is smiling like crazy!! It's so fun to make her giggle. There is no better sound in the world than that! She is getting big and has her 4 month apt in a few days. We will be starting rice cereal with her soon! I can't believe how fast the time has gone! Right now she really likes to be upright, so the excersaucer and the johnny jumper are her favorite places to be (besides mommy's arms!)

Family Photo

It was't easy, but I talked Chuck into having a family picture done. Toni's friend Bri of Snap Photography came out to our house and got some great shots of the girls and a few family shots as well! There are more pictures posted in the Picasa web album.

Happy Halloween 2010

We had a great Halloween weekend! Saturday, we started the morning off with breakfast at the Park Tavern. Maggie wore part of her costume there to show her favorite waitress Lori. Then, she put on her full costume and we headed to the Shops at the West End. They had trick-or-treating there, a jump house, and some little games. Lots of fun! Later that day, we took our pink poodle and little ladybug to Grandma and Bubba's house where they stayed while and Chuck and I went to the Gopher game.
Today, Sunday, costumes were on by 6:00pm and we hit our street! It was so fun for Maggie this year. She really got into the trick-or-treating and then when we got back to our house, she LOVED handing out our candy to the trick-or-treaters. I'm really not sure which part she like better! I added some more pictures to the October album in Picasa.

Fall Fun!

You can't beat the weather this Fall! It has been gorgeous!! We took advantage of the great weather this past weekend. Grandma Demulling didn't have to work on Friday, so she came to the MN zoo with us, Toni and the kids, Sara and boys, and Margo. Grandma packed a big old picnic lunch and the kids had a blast!
Saturday morning we road the old fashion train from Osceola to Dresser and back "The Pumpkins Train Ride". At the Depot in Dresser, the kids get off and they could pick out a pumpkin, play games, jump in the castle, roast marshmallows, go for a hay ride, and go through the hay maze. Oh, and get their face painted. Maggie liked that!
After the train ride, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpas for a quick lunch and then hopped on the hay wagon for a hay ride! We went on a new route this year and after we went through the fields, we went up the road to visit Mary and Randy on the farm. Maggie loved seeing the cows and ducks and especially the baby calves.
All in all it was a fun filled weekend! The second year for the train ride and hay ride. I think we are going to make it an annual event! More pics in the October album in picasa!

Ruby Jane's Baptism

Ruby was baptised this past Sunday on 10/10/10. It was a gorgeous sunny day. The ceremony took place after mass with just us and it was really nice. Ruby did great and didn't even cry the whole time! Chris and Jen were there as Godparents and both grandparents joined us including Great Grandma Demulling. The Dauwalters met up with us to celebrate back at the house. We served chili thinking that it would be a cool Fall day and it ended up being 80 some degrees out! Oh well! Maggie had a BLAST playing with her cousins! In a few years Ruby will be trying to keep up with them as well! There are lots of pictures from Ruby's big day in the Picasa Web Album. Ruby wore the same dress that I wore 33 years ago and Maggie wore 2 years ago.

Summer is coming to an end which means Baby #2 will be arriving soon!

These pictures were taken at the Bosens house. They recently started a new company selling paddle boards. Check out their website: www.silvercreekpaddle.com
We had a blast paddling on their beautiful lake! I think I'll put one of these pictures in baby #2's book! She can see what she did right before she came into the world! We are getting so anxious to meet her!! Hopefully this week!
See more pictures from August in the Picasa web album!

The Demulling Girls!

Well, this is not all of them, but we snuck in a quick picture of those of us still at Abby's shower! It was so nice to see everyone!! Congrats to Abby and her new baby Kendra!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Another GREAT 4th of July!! Grandma and Grandpa Demulling had one full house as all of us stayed out there for the weekend! It was so nice to get all 7 cousins together!! They had a blast!!

This picture was taken at Cedar Lake at uncle Don's house. The kids had fun playing in the lake- we even walked out to the sandbar and went for a pontoon ride with cousin Donnie! He let each of the kids drive.....literally drive (sometimes in circles)!!!

Maggie had so much fun in the pool! The majority of the weekend she was sporting her swimsuit. I think the only time we got clothes on her was at night when it was time to put on the pj's!
There are LOTS more pictures of the 4th in the July album on picasa. Also, the Dauwalters came up to the Souvignier cabin with us for a weekend and we have lots of pictures of that as well! Enjoy!

Maggie's Birthday Party

Maggie had a blast at her birthday party. We did a joint party with her cousin Cullen since they are only three days apart at Grandma and Grandpa Demulling house.
It was unseasonably cold for mid June and it rained a little at the end of the party, but the kids still had fun playing in the hot tub and driving around in the mini jeep! Toni brought cupcakes and balloons- Cullen had spiderman and Maggie's was Elmo! Mom and Dad cooked up a delicious lunch and Maggie was surrounded by almost all of her cousins (except the Tucson and Omaha cousins), both of her grandparents and Great Grandma Helen came for a bit too! She talked about the party for days after! See more pictures from the party in the picasa album.

Mother's Day '10

It's Sunday night (Mother's Day) and I just put Maggie to bed. I feel so thankful for all the joy that she has brought us! Being a mother has been so great! What a nice weekend we had! We spent Saturday out at Grandma and Grandpa Demulling's and Maggie had fun with her cousins! They drove the mini Jeep around and went up in the tree house. Jane and Frank stopped by for lunch too! It was great to see them.
Sunday morning Grandma and Grandpa Souvignier came to church with us and then Chuck grilled up a terrific lunch.
There are a few pictures on the picasa web album. Since our last post, we made it up to the cabin once and Maggie got a toddler bed. She has been sleeping in it for about three weeks now and loves it! Swim lessons is still going great! Maggie only has two more classes left!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter weekend!
Friday: Maggie and I went over to Sara's house where we met up with Toni and the kids, Margo, and Mom. The kids had a great time playing in the backyard.
Saturday: We headed out to Grandma and Grandpa Demulling's. The Dauwalters were also there and the kids had fun finding Easter eggs both inside and outside! Jane and Frank swung by for a visit too! Unfortunately I forgot my camera that day and so I don't have many pictures- just a few sent from Grandma Demulling.
Sunday: We went to church up in Maple Grove and then celebrated Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Souvignier's. Chris and Jen and the kids were there and also Mary Devine and Sister Marylin. It was a beautiful sunny day- almost 70 degrees! The kids had fun playing outside and finding some Easter eggs Uncle Chris and Aunt Jen brought.
Maggie was very spoiled by the Easter Bunny all weekend long!!
A few more pictures have been added to the March album and also the Easter 10' album in Picasa.

We'll update the blog and let you know how it goes! Her and Daddy will go together this Thursday while I'm at school for conferences.
Baby #2 update: I'm almost half way through the pregnancy! Things are going well!
Happy March!

Happy Valentines Day

Maggie brought each of her friends at Daycare a Valentine! Cheryl said she handed them out all by herself.

Here Maggie is wearing my high heals!

We've had so much snow this winter! In fact the snow banks are taller than Maggie is!

Our Winter Get-Away

Chuck decided that we needed to find a way to enjoy the winter, especially since we still have a good share of it left! He found this beautiful cabin for a great deal on Craig's List and so we decided to rent it for Friday and Saturday night! The cabin was on Butterfield Lake in Emily, MN. We talked Grandpa Bill and Grandma Bernie into coming up with us too! We had a great time cross country skiing, taking Maggie on the tube down the hill, going for walks with Lou on the lake, relaxing by the fireplace, and going out to dinner. It was a much needed get-away! Maggie had a great time- especially with Grandma and Grandpa all weekend! More pics of the trip are in the picasa album.
