Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving started off warm and sunny- the kids were running around with out coats on, but by the end of the day, it was freezing cold!  We had a great time with at Grandma and Grandpa's house with Trent and Aimee, Toni and John, and all of the kids!  You can tell that they are all getting a little older because each year it gets a that much easier to take the grandchildren picture.......I think this is the first year we pulled it off without anyone crying!!  After playing at Grandma and Grandpa's for awhile, we headed over to Uncle Larry and Gretchen's where the rest of Grandpa Mike's siblings were and Great Grandma Helen too!  They had a house full!  It was so much fun to see my cousins and extended family!
We ended the day back at Grandma and Grandpa's where we exchanged Christmas gifts with Trent and Aimee's kids since they will not be coming up this year.
I posted some more pics in the picasa web album.  We also received the first snow of the season on Thanksgiving night, so Friday morning, we had fun sledding at the park!  There was just enough!

Ruby's 1st Haircut!

Ruby got her first haircut- just a little trim.  She did great!  She was the most excited about the sucker hat she would get when she was all done!

Halloween 2012

Ruby- already getting into the candy.....sucker in mouth, skittles in hand
My witch and princess mouse were not very cooperative when it came time for pictures!  They were too excited to get out there trick-or-treating!!
The neighborhood gang!
We had a great Halloween evening for Trick-or-treating!!  As you can see from the pictures above, Maggie was a witch, and Ruby was a princess mouse.  We had the mouse costume, but she decided to add the mask and tutu.  Ruby is very into princesses lately!
The girls had a Halloween party at Peggie's during the day where they all wore their costumes, made cookies, and actually practiced trick-or-treating at her door.
We went down and around our block with the neighborhood kids (we have quite a crew now) and then made it back in time to hand out some candy before bedtime.  Maggie just loves handing out candy- as soon as we got back from trick-or-treating, she quickly took off her costume, put on her warm pj's and fuzzy slippers and sat out on the front step waiting for the kids to come.  Luckily it was a really nice night and not too cold- I kept her company as we sat with the candy bowl and waited for the kids.
There are a few more pictures in the picasa web album.  Also some pics of the neighborhood Halloween party at the Mugli's.  The kids had so much fun painting pumpkins, pumpkin bowling, and playing games.
It's a fun time of the year- especially through the eyes of a child!!
